Current policy
This policy explains how Shopr handles account, transaction, and security data. We notify users before material changes take effect.
We collect only what we need to run the marketplace:
We don't sell your data, we don't share it with advertisers, and we don't run third-party ad trackers. We also do not store full payment card numbers — card details are handled by our payment processor and we only retain non-sensitive identifiers needed for payouts and refunds.
We use a small set of vetted service providers to deliver the Service: a hosting provider (Vercel), a database and auth provider (Supabase), an email transactional sender, and a payment processor. Each receives only the data needed to perform its function and is bound by its own data-processing terms. We disclose information to law enforcement only when legally compelled and, where permitted, we notify affected users.
Account and transaction records are retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to resolve disputes and meet tax and fraud-prevention obligations. Security logs are kept for a shorter period (typically 90 days) and then aggregated or deleted.
We use TLS everywhere in production, store passwords with strong hashing, enforce a password policy and check against known breach databases, isolate access with row-level security on the database, and apply rate-limiting and account lockouts on auth endpoints. No system is perfectly secure — if we discover a breach that affects you, we will notify you without undue delay.
We use a small number of first-party cookies to keep you signed in and to remember session state. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.
The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects your rights, we will let you know in-app or by email before the change takes effect.
